This isn’t going to get me high, is it? A question I’ve heard a thousand times.
No, I replied, you won’t get high.
Are you sure? She asked again.
Yes, I’m sure.
Being confused or unsure about the effects of CBD is pretty common.
Unfortunately, there’s a lot of bad information out there and people still conflate CBD/HEMP with Cannabis/THC.
Cannabis contains a high concentration of THC (~7.0-30%), the main compound responsible for the ‘high’ feeling.
Hemp, however, according to the federal farm bill of 2018, can not contain more than 0.3% THC. A minuscule amount.
Here’s an analogy: take a single shot of 80 proof liquor and add it to a gallon of water. Even if you drank the whole thing (eww) you’re not going to catch a buzz.
So when people ask me; will this get me high? I can confidently answer: no.
And if you’re still concerned about consuming even >0.3% of THC, go ahead and stick to our Broad Spectrum 100% THC-Free.
